Flag Day Parade Picnic

The Annual Outagamie County Republican Party (OCRP) Flag Day Parade Picnic. This year the picnic will be held in the pavilion at Erb Park in Appleton. We will be ready to serve burgers, brats, hot dogs, and all the great food usually available at picnics, including baked beans, potato salad, chips, etc., beginning at 3:30 p.m., serving until the food is gone!! The picnic is free to members of OCRP, a nominal charge for non-members. We anticipate having music, legislators and raffles. It should be a fun afternoon and a place to relax after sitting in the sun for hours watching the great Appleton parade! Exerpiernced Appleton native, Justice David Prosser has had the bumpiest road to re-election in Wisconsin history.

Justice Prosser weathered intense attack ads ran by his competitor, DNR attorney, JoAnne Kloppenburg and now must stand strong through a recount process that will hopefully result in a clear winner.

Please keep Justice Prosser in your hopes & prayers. He has dedicated his life to Outagamie County and our State, and he deserves our State’s respect and admiration.

The Appleton Northside Business Association will be hosting a debate between Jack Voight and Tom Nelson, candidates for Outagamie County Executive, on Thursday evening March 24, at 7:00 P.M. at the VFW Hall, 501 N. Richmond Street, in Appleton.

Gov. Scott Walker has succeeded in limiting some state employee’s collective bargaining agreements, allowing the State to adjust these state employee’s benefits and other perks as the State’s financial needs require.

While this is not a landmark decision, since over twenty other states already have similar laws, this has been a great success for our State, our Governor, and our party as the controversy behind passing the law has received national attention and made Wisconsin a political battleground between liberals and conservatives throughout the country.

Congratulations Wisconsin! Support your Governor, and he will help Wisconsin support itself.
